Annual Clean-up

Our Annual Community wide clean-up is taking place starting today throughout the month of June. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 8am to 5pm. We are again asking all residents to work with the town in cleaning up their property in Krotz Springs. A 40 yard dumpster will be stationed at the old dump site on old hwy 190. We ask that everyone take advantage of this opportunity to dispose of garbage and debris, and white goods. NO TIRES WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Summer Reading Program

The Krotz Springs Municipal Public Library is registering children for the Summer Reading Program. This year's theme "Tails and Tales". We will run the program from June 14th, 2021 to June 18th, 2021 from 10am-12pm. Please encourage your children to participate. If you have any questions call 337-566-8190.

Town Clean Up

We want to remind you that beginning in June and continuing throughout the month of June, the town will sponsor a community wide clean up campaign. This clean up provides an opportunity for town residents to dispose of garbage and debris, appliances, etc without having to drive to Beggs, the parish landfill. We are able to provide this service with the help and support of St. Landry Parish Solid Waste.

Community Center Anniversary

This month marks the 17th Anniversary of the opening of the Gary Soileau Community Center. Rental of the facility is $700 with a deposit of $200. The deposit is refundable upon completion of all requirements. A contract must be signed and payment is required prior to activity. The community center has become a great asset to our town, we have a library and clinic established in the building.

TOWN BIRTHDAY

1/5/2021

On January 6th the town celebrates it's 104th Birthday. C.W. Krotz successfully incorporated Krotz Springs as a village on January 6, 1917. The proclamation creating Krotz Springs was signed by Governor R.G. Pleasant. Krotz Springs remained a village until 1955 when it was declared a town.
