Decorating Contest

We are happy to announce the winners of our Annual Christmas Decorating Contest. Library

This month marks the 16th Anniversary of the Krotz Springs Municipal Public Library. The library officially opened on January 8, 2008. It has proven to be a big success. We have a Kidzpace Touch 2 Play Interactive System for the children and 10 computer stations for our patrons. We hope to have another successful year providing books, internet, inter library loan, and activities for our patrons. We would like to thank all of our volunteers that help throughout the year with the many events that occur at our library and the Town of Krotz Springs for supporting our library. Our business hours are Monday-Friday, 9-5pm. If you have any questions please contact April Fletcher 337-566-8190.

If You Smell Gas

It is that time of the year when gas heaters are turned on for the first time. We are reminding our townspeople of the dangers of a gas leak. If you suspect a gas leak, leave the house immediately. Don't use the phone. Call for assistance from neighbors house. Don't light a match. Don't turn on a light. Never turn on anything electrical. Call town hall at 337-566-2322 for assistance Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. After hours call 911!

Code Red

The Town of Krotz Springs has implemented CodeRED, a high-speed emergency mass notification service provided by Ormond Beach, FL-based OnSolve, LLC. The CodeRED system will serve as the backbone of the Town of Krotz Springs emergency planning and communications outreach to both citizens and staff. The system sends telephone calls, test messages, and emails to inform residents to better protect life and property. CodeRED was selected for its reliabilty and accuracy, as well as the system's wide spread adoption rates across the U.S.

Looking Ahead: Buy a Brick

I know there are many Veteran's and Veteran supporters in our little town and surrounding area. In the future we will be selling bricks for a Krotz Springs Veteran Memorial at Nall Park. Park Reservations

Anyone interested in using the parks for events must first check with Town Hall for availability to reserve the pavilions. We now have two pavilions that are available to the public for events. The permit is $50.00 and if the pavilion is cleaned and no damages $25.00 will be refunded. If you are planning to have a fun jump or water slide please notify the town. There are designated areas for the inflatables. For more details call 337-566-2322.
