Fireworks on the River

Our Annual Independence Day Celebration will be held this year on Thursday, July 4th. Kick-off will begin at 6pm. A great fireworks display is planned for dusk dark. Prior to the fireworks JC Melancaon Band will perform from 6pm till fireworks display. Water, hotdogs, and watermelon will be served. Ice chests are permitted, but NO GLASS BOTTLES ARE ALLOWED! There will be fun jumps and the splash pad will be open. We will have shirts for sale starting at $15.00 a shirt. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy this great event that is sponsored by the Town of Krotz Springs. We will cap off the evening with a great fireworks display complete with patriotic music at dusk dark. The Volunteer Fire and Kacey Cox will supervise the fireworks display. Please NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED! Hope to see you and your families there as we gather to celebrate our Nation's Birthday!

Garbage Cans

The town would appreciate those putting garbage canisters to the road, please keep lids closed at all times so debris does not fly out and to keep the rain out. These two combinations create a sour smell that permeates throughout the town. We would really appreciate your help in this matter.

Hurricane Preparation

Hurricane season began June 1. If a storm is forecast to affect the Town of Krotz Springs you should evacuate or prepare to take care of yourself! Basic preparedness: 1) If you are ordered to evacuate, know hurricane routes and a plan where to stay; 2) Put together a disaster supply kit, including a flashlight, batteries, cash, first aid supplies, water, medicine and copies of your critical information; 3) If you are not ordered to evacuate plan for adequate supplies in case you lose power and water for several days.

Looking Ahead: Buy a Brick

I know there are many Veteran's and Veteran supporters in our little town and surrounding area. In the future we will be selling bricks for a Krotz Springs Veteran Memorial at Nall Park. The applications will be available, hopefully soon, as we are still in the planning stages. Updates to follow and thanks for your support now and in the future. The Town of Krotz Springs has implemented CodeRED, a high-speed emergency mass notification service provided by Ormond Beach, FL-based OnSolve, LLC. The CodeRED system will serve as the backbone of the Town of Krotz Springs emergency planning and communications outreach to both citizens and staff. The system sends telephone calls, test messages, and emails to inform residents to better protect life and property. CodeRED was selected for its reliabilty and accuracy, as well as the system's wide spread adoption rates across the U.S.

Park Reservations

Anyone interested in using the parks for events must first check with Town Hall for availability to reserve the pavilions. We now have two pavilions that are available to the public for events. The permit is $50.00 and if the pavilion is cleaned and no damages $25.00 will be refunded. If you are planning to have a fun jump or water slide please notify the town. There are designated areas for the inflatables. For more details call 337-566-2322.
