ANNUAL TOWN EASTER EGG HUNT

The Annual Town Easter Egg Hunt will be held March 20, 2024 at 4:30pm at Nall Park. We will have 4 age groups: Walking to two year old, three to four year old, kindergarten to second grade and third and fourth grade. The Easter Bunny will be there! Come out and enjoy the fun!

Congratulations to Angie Marks on her retirement! Angie worked for the Town of Krotz Springs for 19 years. Angie served the community with patience and love, and was a great asset to the Town of Krotz Springs. Enjoy your retirement. Congratulations Angie!
Second Harvest

Second Harvest distribution will take place March 19 & 20 at the Gary Soileau Community Center, 216 Park Street from 7:00am to 10:00am. Applications can be picked up at Town Hall Monday-Friday, from 8am-4pm. For more information please call 337-566-2322.

Community Center Anniversary

This month marks the 21st Anniversary of the opening of the Gary Soileau Community Center. Rental of the facility is $700 with a deposit of $200. The deposit is refundable upon completion of all requirements. A contract must be signed and payment is required prior to activity. The community center has become a great asset to our town, we have a library and clinic established in the building.
Library Anniversary

This month marks the 16th Anniversary of the Krotz Springs Municipal Public Library. The library officially opened on January 8, 2008. It has proven to be a big success. We recently added a Kidzpace Touch 2 Play Interactive System for the children. We hope to have another successful year providing books, internet and activities for our patrons. We would like to thank all of our volunteers that help throughout the year with the many events that occur at our library and the Town of Krotz Springs for supporting our library. Our business hours are Monday-Friday, 9-5pm. If you have any questions please call April Fletcher at 337-566-8190.
TOWN BIRTHDAY

On January 6th the town celebrates it's 107th Birthday. C.W. Krotz successfully incorporated Krotz Springs as a village on January 6, 1917. The proclamation creating Krotz Springs was signed by Governor R.G. Pleasant. Krotz Springs remained a village until 1955 when it was declared a town.
If You Smell Gas

It is that time of the year when gas heaters are turned on for the first time. We are reminding our townspeople of the dangers of a gas leak. If you suspect a gas leak, leave the house immediately. Don't use the phone. Call for assistance from a neighbor's house. Don't light a match. Don't turn on a light. Never turn on anything electrical. Call town hall at 337-566-2322 for assistance. After hours call 911.
Park Reservations

Anyone interested in using the parks for events must first check with Town Hall for availability to reserve the pavilions. We now have two pavilions that are available to the public for events. The permit is $50.00 and if the pavilion is cleaned and no damages $25.00 will be refunded. For more details call 337-566-2322.
Code Red

The Town of Krotz Springs has implemented CodeRED, a high-speed emergency mass notification service provided by Ormond Beach, FL-based OnSolve, LLC. The CodeRED system will serve as the backbone of the Town of Krotz Springs emergency planning and communications outreach to both citizens and staff. The system sends telephone calls, test messages, and emails to inform residents to better protect life and property. CodeRED was selected for its reliabilty and accuracy, as well as the system's wide spread adoption rates across the U.S.
