The Town of Krotz Springs has sandbags available at the maintenance building on Second Street. We have some already filled and ready for pick-up. Once these are gone you will have to fill your own bags. The bags will be on site and please bring your own shovel.
On Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 at 6:00pm, St. Anthony Catholic Church will celebrating its 3rd Annual "Blue Mass". This is a special mass that recognizes all First Responders who serve our community: police officers, paramedics, emergency personnel, and firefighters. All first responders and their families are invited to attend. The Mass will be held at the church, and a reception will follow at the town community center, 216 Park Street. Deceased first responders of our community will be recognized during this mass. If you would like to have your deceased loved ones who served to be honored, please submit names to the church office by September 14th. You can either come by the office or call 337-566-3527. Let us pray for all those who put their lives in the line to serve our community.
If your garbage does not fit in your trash can, such as furniture, appliances, etc. please call Waste Management 337-942-1291 to report a debris pick-up.
Hurricane season began June 1. If a storm is forecast to affect the Town of Krotz Springs you should evacuate or prepare to take care of yourself! Know where to go. Basic preparedness: 1) If you are ordered to evacuate, know hurricane routes and plan where to stay; 2) Put together a disaster supply kit, including flashlight, batteries, cash, first aid supplies, water & copies of your critical information; 3) If you are not ordered to evacuate plan for adequate supplies in case you lose power and water for several days.

This month marks the 17th Anniversary of the opening of the Gary Soileau Community Center. Rental of the facility is $700 with a deposit of $200. The deposit is refundable upon completion of all requirements. A contract must be signed and payment is required prior to activity. The community center has become a great asset to our town, we have a library and clinic established in the building.
Did you know...In the mid 1950's, a group of men known as "The Krotz Springs Citizen's League" formed and would meet monthly to discuss the needs of the town?
On January 6th the town celebrates it's 104th Birthday. C.W. Krotz successfully incorporated Krotz Springs as a village on January 6, 1917. The proclamation creating Krotz Springs was signed by Governor R.G. Pleasant. Krotz Springs remained a village until 1955 when it was declared a town.
