Krotz Springs Municipal Public Library

"A library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life."  - Henry Ward Beecher

We couldn't agree more.  Come visit your local library.  A quiet place to study, relax, work or simply escape in a good book.  It's fun, the old fashioned way.

Mission Statement--"A Little Library, Growing Leaps and Bounds"

Located in the Gary Soileau Community Center building, the Krotz Springs Municipal Public Library has been providing a valuable resource for residents and local children since 2008. Through a cooperative agreement, our library is able to provide an amazingly current collection of bestselling fiction, non-fiction and reference titles. We also provide a quiet area for residents and students with public computers, our collection of local history interest, and wi-fi. We have 10 computer stations, a childrens area, inter-library loan, DVD's, and laptop loan. Our little library offers two main events annually: Christmas Storytime and Summer Reading Program.

Inter-Library Loan (ILL)

Through the State Library of Louisiana's Inter-Library Loan (ILL) system, you can request items from any library in the state to be sent to Krotz Springs and returned through our library, free of charge as long as the materials are returned on time.

State Library Databases

The State Library of Louisiana provides several free databases for patron's use both in the library and even at home on your computer, tablet or smartphone. Your Krotz Springs library card will be needed to gain access to some of these databases.
